Norris Wong
Norris Wong is a director, writer and lyricist. Following her graduation from the Master of Arts (MA) program in Producing for Film, Television and New Media at Hong Kong Baptist University, she embarked on a prolific career as a screenwriter for numerous TV series and films. Her debut work, "MY PRINCE EDWARD" (2019), garnered critical acclaim, earning her the Best Screenplay award at the 26th Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards and the Best New Director accolade at the 39th Hong Kong Film Awards.
Adapted from Wong's autobiographical novel, THE LYRICIST WANNABE narrates her personal journey in pursuit of becoming a professional lyricist. Wong not only penned the screenplay but also crafted the lyrics for the film's songs, including the poignant theme song "A Lyricist Wannabe," which clinched the Best Original Film Song award at the 42nd Hong Kong Film Awards.
Her aspiration to become a lyricist is realized through the medium of filmmaking.

來自香港,現居台灣,編劇作品:《猛鬼 3 寶》、《瑪嘉烈與大衛系列-綠豆》及《歎息橋》。憑首部編導電影作品《金都》提名第 56 屆金馬獎最佳新導演,並獲得第 39 屆香港電影金像獎新晉導演獎。
我從小對廣東歌詞創作有濃厚的興趣,苦追填詞夢近 20 年,最後把失敗的經歷寫成《我很想成為文盲填詞人》一書。因為一次電影插曲的機緣,令我有機會再寫歌詞,想起自己曾經的熱血,我決定把這段追夢過程化為電影故事。廣東歌習慣先曲後詞,歌詞必須高度配合旋律創作,難度遠高於其他不講究歌詞聲調的語言,如英日韓語。被旋律束縛限制的粵語歌詞看似妥協委屈,卻因不斷地自我要求與鍛練成就頂尖的技法、超凡的能耐、優秀的作品。

Story
就讀聖羅斯中學的高中女生羅穎詩(鍾雪瑩飾)雖然是理科生,不過自覺具有寫歌詞天賦,立志當作詞人。
十年間用盡各種奇怪方法追逐夢想:報名參加CASH流行曲創作大獎,參加夏季作詞班,發電郵向作曲人毛遂自薦,到台灣會見唱片公司主管推銷原創歌曲,參加作詞人比賽,去電台兼職當製作助理,幫公司寫廣告歌……。
可是追夢多年,一次又一次受到打擊,漸漸發現當作詞人太難。這是她揹著夢想的包袱,在充滿遺憾的人生路上狂奔的故事。
Story
Sze (Chung Suet Ying) emails all of Hong Kong’s record companies, attends every lyric writing courses and joins all lyric writing contests for an opportunity. She even writes demo lyrics for various composers, but none of her lyrics get published. For a chance to finally be a published lyricist, Sze pitches songs to record companies in Taiwan during her graduation trip. The composer ends up receiving a contract, but her lyrics are not used.
Sze runs into an old classmate while working part-time at a radio station and finally gets an offer to write published lyrics. However, the singers rejected her lyrics... Ten years of ups and downs make Sze see the hollowness of dreams. She realizes that the pain of chasing dreams is real.
